This is available for those over 75 years old. There is a maximum income set down by Government in order to ensure that the fund is not exhausted before death. There can be a guaranteed income for up to 10 years and there can be an annual review of rates.
Since the Conservative/Liberal government took office they have temporarily moved the age limit to 77 and are planning to bring new legistation to Parliament to permanently increase the age limit or even remove it altogether.
